Justice Ministers Endorse Kuwaiti Legal Document
The GCC Ministers of Justice have approved of a Kuwaiti draft document for judicial and legal cooperation among GCC member states, in terms of procedural matters. During the meeting, which was held here late Tuesday, Kuwait's draft document for uniform judicial inspection systems was approved, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Justice said in a news release on Wednesday. Abu Dhabi's documents for settlement and the fight against human trafficking, Riyadh's document for punitive procedures were also extended, the ministry added.
Earlier, Kuwait's Minister of Justice, Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Rashid Al-Hammad asserted that achieving unity between the Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) states is a necessity, reported Al-Qabas. He added that only by working together can the GCC better develop. Al-Hammad made his statements during the inauguration of the 22nd meeting of GCC justice ministers. He also indicated that a unified comprehensive legal system is a shared goal of all the citizens of the region.
Meanwhile, members of the delegations taking part in the 27th session of the Ministerial Council of labour of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, currently being hosted by Kuwait; yesterday extended a message of thanks to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. In the message, the delegates expressed their pride on meeting HH the Amir and gratitude for his instructions on the importance of developing strategies to strengthen integration in numerous fields amongst the GCC member states.
